KATE FLANNERY

Kate plays Meredith, the accident prone, drunken tart on NBC’s The Office and for some actresses that would be enough. Not Kate. She’s gotta put on a  red polyester jumpsuit and sing like a maniac in front of a live audience on a regular basis in her original comedy lounge act, The Lampshades. The act is the only thing that keeps her mind off NOT waitressing which was Kate’s fall back gig since  nineteen eighty -none of your business.

Kate’s a Philadelphia native from a big family of 7 kids.A bar owner’s daughter, she was lucky enough to start her career in Chicago where she ran with the finest group of funny people in show business. She  worked in the Second City National Touring Company , in Del Close’ s Improv Olympic and the Annoyance Theater where she did a ton of shows like  the Miss Vagina Pageant and the Real Live Brady Bunch. (which she toured  over 30 cities) She won critical acclaim and more importantly the approval of her drag queen friend playing Neely O’Hara in LA  at The Coast Playhouse and Off Broadway at the Circle in the Square in Valley of the Dolls. She used to sing with John (They Might Be Giants) Flansburg’s other band Mono Puff.  Kate’s been doing the voice of Wendy on Wendy’s Hamburger spots, and she has a new Hallmark Xmas movie coming out. Kate is played Harper’s mom on Disney Channel”s Wizards of Waverly Place (and Scot Robinson plays her dad!)
